Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
OCD is an anxiety disorder and is characterized by
recurrent, unwanted thoughts (obsessions) and/or
repetitive behaviors (compulsions). Repetitive behaviors
such as handwashing, counting, checking, or cleaning are
often performed with the hope of preventing obsessive
thoughts or making them go away. Performing these
so-called "rituals," however, provides only temporary
relief, and not performing them markedly increases
anxiety.
Whenever you try not to do something you are
actually instructing the subconscious mind to do it. You
therefore will never reach a point when you feel
content.
The MindFrame Technique® will show you how to relax and
clear this inner conflict at the subconscious level. OCD
sufferers are experts on their condition. They will be
able to tell you exactly what is happening on the
physical level. They actually know more than the doctors
- that is a large part of the problem. They have
convinced themselves that their obsessive behaviour is
real instead of imaginary.
